Architects Siniša Zdjelar and Antonija Plavotić from the Rijeka architectural office ZDL realized the project of the Castu Pentagon office building, which, with its organization of space, located within the volume of the pentagonal floor plan, establishes new standards in the design of work space. Castua Pentagon, the Kastava pentagon, is an administrative building with a specific floor plan, resulting from the local conditions of the irregular shape of the plot in the built environment, into which it fits through the interpretation of traditional local materials, stone and wood, and the design based on sloping roof surfaces fused with the facades.
In addition to intelligent lighting of the latest generation, which adjusts the light intensity to the current sun exposure conditions, the building contains floor heating and ceiling cooling systems, a lounge for business associates on the second floor, lavishly equipped service areas and an elevator, and an exclusive nine-meter sculpture in the central atrium.
